Seasoned Legal and Compliance Executive Moves to Snapchat.
Gaurav Ajmani, a veteran legal and compliance professional, has joined Snapchat as Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). He brings over 12 years of experience at Amazon, where he served as Associate General Counsel and led senior legal and compliance functions.

During his tenure at Amazon, Ajmani managed complex regulatory, governance, and risk matters, supporting the company’s expansion across multiple businesses and global markets. Prior to Amazon, he worked at Microsoft Corporation (2007–2013) as Investigations Senior Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing fraud prevention, detection, and compliance programs.
From 2004 to 2007, he served as Head of Fraud Intelligence and Compliance at Bharti Airtel Limited, designing fraud scoring models and leading audits and investigations across telecom operations. Ajmani began his career at GE in underwriting and risk management roles and later worked in business development at Compare Infobase Limited.

Educational Background and New Responsibilities
Ajmani holds an MBA in International Business from All India Management Association, an LL.B. from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, and a B.Com (Hons) from the University of Delhi.
At Snapchat, he will spearhead global compliance initiatives, strengthening the company’s legal and regulatory framework as it navigates international operations and emerging governance requirements.
